I’m 5’3 so I’m short…but taller than you. i fit into regular size dresses, just needed the hem to be taken up about 8 inches. You may need to custom order your length so that the proportions of the dress aren’t  skewed once they are taillored to your stature. Sorry I’m not more help, good luck!

Yes there is nothing specific for “short brides”.  I’m 5’1 and my dress will just need to be hemmed.  Certain designers do a “hallow to hem” which basically is building a gown almost custom to your length.  I’m pretty sure Maggie and Casablanca have petite options too.

I’m 5’0

I wore some pretty rockin’ heels, and I can usually stand wearing heels for a while, but I did reach my threshold at one point and kicked them off. After that my dress was a little too long and cumbersome….keep that in mind!

I’m only 5 feet tall, but the dress I bought had beautiful lace and beadwork on the bottom so instead of hemming it my seamstress was able to pull the skirt up from the waist instead. There was a band at the waist so everything was hidden under it. It was perfect.

Valeenh,

I am five feet tall and 0 inches. I fell in love with the bigger gowns by Maggie Sottero, not the super fitted trumpet types. I was afraid that once I got to a bridal shop the dress would swallow me whole and look totally stupid because of my height, and figured I would end up getting a fitted dress to look taller. But guess what dress I ended up with?

This is FAR FAR FAR from fitted at the bottom! It is HUGE and heavy! And guess what else? It DOES NOT swallow me whole! I think you should just look for the style that you fall in love with, try it on, and it just might work for you like it did for me. I don’t look like a cupcake as I was expecting lol!
