I’m 5’1″ and a size 0/2, and dresses like these were so overwhelming on me. : I wore a sheath because it was the most flattering (and the most comfortable), but I find that bigger ladies (like…bigger than me lol) look MUCH better in mermaid/trumpet/fit and flares than people like me.

I’m just under 5 feet as was scared about trying dresses on! I felt I would get lost in all of the dresses. I was so surprised when all of them looked great!.. That scared feeling completely drifted away. And to be honest, I think mermaid styles actually suit shorter people best!

I have not gone through alterations yet I have only experienced try on. I purchased my Moriee in the shortest length possible: 55″ and even the lasy said it seemed perfect in length just touching the floor (I’m wearing sandals) But I also think the dress was raised a little too high and I need to lose some weight. You have to decide if you want to wear heels and if yes at which height because that’s certainly going to be an effect on the length you choose. Here’s the other lengths it came in: 58″, 61″. My dress WITHOUT alterations: $1700 …but it is also from the AF couture line which is going to be a little bit pricier. I’ve seen it online for cheaper. If you go to try on and love it you can always purchase online. From what I’ve seen her dresses do not go past 2,000.

I’m 5 ft tall and I wore a dropped waist ballgown. I loved how it made my figure look!

I’m 5 foot 2 and I got a mermaid dress– they shortest the designer would do H2H was 56 inches (for $125 extra), and I need more like 53, so alterations are going to be FUNNNNNNNN

@Bunni0929:  I must have missed the memo that we short ladies (I’m 5’2″) can’t wear mermaids/trumpets/fit and flares! I think you should wear the dress that makes you FEEL the most beautiful– If that happens to be a mermaid style, you rock it!

I’m 5’2″ and wearing a ballgown — they did have to take some of the crinolin out so it isn’t AS poofy, but it looks good and I look taller!

I am 5’2″ wearing a mermaid with 4″ heels. I feel like it made me look longer than other silhouettes
