I’m 5’2, and I had a “large pouffy dress” in my sister’s words… But I think the tight defined top balances it out. Don’t have pro pics yet, this is the only full length pic I have at the moment.

Oh my, you amazng in that dress!! It’s so stunningly beautiful!
I am a petite bride (5’2, 110 pounds) and unfortunately found that ballgowns did nothing for me. Perhaps I didn’t try on the right ones, or perhaps my proportions weren’t right for a ballgown. As a PP mentioned, lots of factors play in roll in whether one can pull of a ballgown. When I went dress shopping, I was open to trying any style, and ended up with a mermaid – another style that people sometimes say us small girls can’t wear…
Have you tried on dresses yet? When you do, just try to be open to different styles, including different styles of ballgowns. You might be surprised by what you pick!
Here’s a picture of my dress from our wedding day, in my mermaid!

I’m 5’1/5’2 and couldn’t do a ballgown (though I think they’re gorgeous) because I wanted a defined waist. I ended up with a mermaid

That’s so dreamy on you! Very Grace Kelley. Love gowns that look like that, and it actually gives you a lot of height!
