Im 4ft11 I don’t have a dress yet, but I’m either going to go for a tea length dress and pair it with some pale blue converse shoes or a ball gown and still wear flats. My balance is poor so big heels is definitely a no no. My fiancé is 6ft10 (seriously) so I’m going to look stupidly short no matter what size heel I wear so, I’m going for flats for comfort.

dookietookie :  What a fun thread!! I am 5’1 and my dress is a ballgown that’s fitted at the top. I love how it fits my body but still gives me that “wow” factor on the bottom. It’s very elongating and makes me seem a little taller I think

I’m 5’2-3″ and have chosen a ball gown with a simple skirt. I felt like the clean line of the skirt helps to make my legs look much longer.

Getting married in May, so I don’t have the dress yet and I’m standing on a pedistal in the picture. I plan on wearing about 3″ heels the day of

I’m 5ft 7 so I shouldnt even be chiming in on but when reading your description about looking child like etc, I was a bit like oh my what to expect with the photos ! You girls all looking AMAZING! Beautiful brides, petite frames just seem to look gorgeous in everything IMO. Beautiful.

pinksweetie90 :  this is gorgeous and the dress without the overskirt  looks similar to mine and I’m wanting to a ball gown now, I didn’t even think of adding an overskirt!

jemmlove12 :  Thanks girl! Yes! I was so torn on a ballgown and feeling like a princess and the trumpet gowns which made me feel so womanly! The detachable skirt was the best of both worlds! I wore the skirt for the ceremony and then took it off for the reception. My overskirt is Watters, but I was recently at BHLDN with my sister and they have a ton of beautiful skirts! cfb_962480

5’1” I had the skirt completely detached and raised which worked out perfectly for me
