@whatsherface04: I try to come up with something new every night but I found this recipe recently and I(and Fiance and DS) love it. I just adjusted some things to bring down the calories and fat content some to make it healthier.
That is the recipe and the things I changed were I used 10oz of ground turkey instead of a full pound of ground beef. I didn’t use green onions just because we don’t like them lol. And I used whole wheat pasta and fat free cheese. It makes 6 1cup servings so that’s dinner for 2 nights for us and each serving is about 350calories. 🙂
But really just start experimenting with the foods you have or check recipe sites to get some inspiration and make your own variation on recipes. I have made a lot of things by combining 3 or 4 recipes together to make a new one.

We are pretty much the the exact same in height, starting weight, and goals. This year I got really busy and lost my workout routine… gained 15 lbs, when I was already 5 over my “maintain” weight. Ugh.
Have been working out more and more (usually Jillian michaels dvds).
What is frustrating is how obvious 5lbs gained is on my frame! I have lost 5 llbs in the past 2 months, and want to lose 1lb a week for the next 15 weeks.
Now that it’s warmer, I plan to start running every other day, mixing it up with Jillian Michaels. I am cutting out sodas, fast food, and eating less desserts (not cutting). Not really dieting, just eating slightly smaller portions.
It is hard to lose 10-20 llbs at our size, especially when we are not “technically” overwieght according to BMI. I know I’ve gained muscle recently, but have not seen a lot happening on the scale.

So far I have been trying:
Sub in plain greek yogurt for sour cream in recipes
Turkey and chicken in place of beef for recipes (although my Fiance doesn’t enjoy this as much for things like bacon so…things like that end up staying for him LOL)
Using smaller plates to cut down on my portion sizes and trick my eyes/brain
Eating breakfast! (I have never been good about it and it slows your metabolism to skip meals)
Shopping at the fringes of the grocery store…meats, dairy, eggs, and fruits/veggies
Tracking my food and exercise on MyFitnessPal
Drinking as much unsweetened tea with a lemon slice as I can (instead of water since I HATE water and my doctor recommended I try this instead)
These have all been working very well for me, has anyone else been trying changes like these?

@whatsherface04: Those are all great changes. I have also been using myfitnesspal and I have just been swapping out pretty much any food that I can with a healthier option. Within reason of course, if it tastes like crap I am obviously not going to eat it. I still need to work on drinking more water. It is the only thing I drink(besides my morning coffee) but most days I don’t drink enough of it. I probably average about 6 cups a day so I am working on making it at least 8.

Another short bee here. I’m 5’2″ and 127lbs. with oddly no goal weight! I just want to take a few inches off my waist and add a couple to my booty. I’m glad too see other petite bees here as most of my friends are over 5’8″ so they lose weight a ton faster than I do.

Hi all! Another short Bee!
I’m 5′ & 122lb and I want to be at 100Lb. I did get there but after huge family issues went back Up to over 125lb. Just this week I’ve lost 3lb so I’m happy with progress!
whats the difference with losing weight and beiNg short? What do I need to be aware of?

@emorelia: congrats on the progress. There are no differences with being short aside from your calorie needs typically being less–that’s not really related to shortness so much as your weight.
