@lovelorlo:  I am pretty much the EXACT same size as you and I looked best in a-line, drop waist, and fit and flare type dresses.

Btw, you have mermaid/fit & flare but they are NOT the same silhouette. To be fair, I refused to try on any mermaid shapes bc I lost 120lbs and I have extra skin in my stomach that looks pouch-y so I was too scared.

I’m the same shape and generally find that A-line, fit and flare and pretty much anything which is fitted on the top and flares out at the waiste looks good.

I’m a bit taller and quite a bit heavier than you are, but all the dresses that looked best on me really drew the eyes to my bust (decor-wise, not cleavage-wise), defined my waist, and had a A-line silhouette.

I’m a shorty at 5’1 and a definite pear shape (US size 4 on top, size 8 on the bottom). I ended up choosing a mermaid/fit and flare style dress which surprised even myself. Everyone thought I would end up with an a-line or ballgown. In the end I realised I would only be going for an a-line because I was too scared to wear something fitted even though I preferred the style

    This was mine:

@lovelorlo:  The one I got looks almost EXACTLY the same. it has more pf a sweetheart neckline and feathers at the top. Its also ivory. The dress in the pic was a La Sposa but I never knew the style name. My dress is the Pronovias Benicarlo.
