So, as far as my search has gone, I’m set on the Vineyard Karalyn. We’re getting married in December. Am I crazy?
(of course the wedding will be inside and I will have a shrug or some sorta coverup to wear if I get cold… I just can’t see myself in any of the long dresses I’ve tried and this one made my mom and I jump all over the place with glee!)

a little bit crazy, haha, but what a great opportunity to need an awesome bolero or other cover up!

When I started the search I was looking all over for a long dress that felt like “me” and so far this is the only one – long or short – that has made me feel comfortable!
Luckily winters in the Willamette Valley part of Oregon are fairly mild… also the dress gives a great opportunity for fierce shoes!!!
Do you think it would look silly if I had my ‘maids in long dresses? We haven’t ordered Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses yet and I’ve been looking for short ones…

I’m a short dress bride too! It does give you a great excuse for some killer shoes plus, now that I’ve decided on a shorter (tea length) dress I just can’t imagine myself in a full length gown. Plus, if you’re having a december wedding – just think, no lifting massive skirts to avoid puddles or snow if it’s snows at that time of year (forgive my ignorance – it’s summer in December for us Aussies!) Oh, and I’m having BM’s in both long and short dresses – I’ve left it up to them. I don’t think it’ll look odd but I’m letting my girls wear different colours and styles so it’ll be quite ecclectic looking anyway! Enjoy your short dress!

I love it!!!! Plus pockets, too! You could always get a cute white coat to wear over it also. Besides people wear cocktail length dresses all the time in the winter.
