  • Wedding: April 2013

I’m planning an intimate wedding ceremony & reception to include 15- 20 ppl, mainly family & a few close frends.  I got engaged 12/29/12 & we have already set our wedding date for April 2013. We didn’t see the need to wait 1- 2 yrs, since we already knew the style of wedding we wanted. My opinion is, couples plan long engagements because they feel its necessary to save $50K only to spend it all to entertain 200 guests… I feel its absolutely crazy. I can’t see myself splurging $70 a head for family members I haven’t seen in a million years or for friends of friends. Or splurging $15K for flowers that will die in 4 days! I would raher save that money to purchase a home. I’m happy with how my plans for my intimate wedding is coming along! Within 2 weeks of our engagement I have already found my ceremony/ reception site, all in one spot! My fiance is pleased with my pick & it’s perfect for our budget! My groom has ALREADY found & purchased his suit! I’m purchasing my dress soon! Our location has an outdoor space for our ceremony & we’ll have our lunch outside as well! The restaurant offers great menu options for weddings, no rental room fees and no minimum food purchase is required! They even customize menu cards with our names & salutations for our day…I may use them as a wedding favors actually!? That’s a thought! To the point, short engagements are totally easy to plan if you are a woman who can focus on what she wants & can make a strong decision…I’m doing it without family or anyone elses nosey input clouding my judgement & I’m excited & proud of myself!

If an intimate wedding is what you want GO FOR IT!
