My hairdresser and I discussed this a lot and she said dont grow your hair long if your style is short. Accessories are key so pick a cute fascinator or headband that will work well.

i’ve been having the same debate too, although my hair isn’t as short as yours. mine is usually around chin length.

i had been going back and forth about whether i should let my hair grow out a little bit (just to my shoulders) and i think i’ve decided against it. i’m just not a long hair kind of girl and i want to look (and feel) like me on my wedding day.

I think you should look like yourself on your wedding day!  If you normally wear your hair short, then you should keep it that way.

How short your hair is will determine what you can do with it. For me short means about chin length although I know some people think of 3-5 inches from scalp. Either way, I agree with what PP said about looking yourself. I just cut my hair chin length recently because for the last 6 years I’ve been with my Fiance I’ve only had long hair for about the last 8 months of it and I hated it. Try looking up hairstyles for your length of hair online. I’m not sure what kind of look you are going for, but I’m sure you can do something with it. Adding clips or fascinators like another poster said is also a great idea.

I know at chin length mine is still long enough to curl if I use pin curls.

Oh also Halle Berry has short hair like that too. Try looking up things she’s done for awards shows. That may help. If your hair is similar to a pixie cut check out the way the girl who plays Snow White in Once Upon a Time styles her hair.

Wish I hadn’t given into the whole “grow out your hair” bridal fade. I can’t wait for a chop. If you find yourself drawn to longer hairstyles, then you may need to grow it out or be prepared to get extensions

My aunts hair is a number 2 raizor which is rediculously short. Mine is 2-4 inches I would said. I cant stand that there are no bridal pictures with short hair. Sorry I dont consider anything to the chin short.

My hair is currently a shaggy pixie, but I had a stacked bob on my wedding day. It was too short to pull up, so I just pulled one side back with a clip.

If you want to keep your hair short, then you should keep it short! You can always wear a pretty pin or headband in your hair to make it more formal.

So I grew out my hair for my wedding only to realize after my hair trial that the updo KILLED my head!! So I cut off all my hair, however the hairdresser made it look like an updo! She just curled it all, pinned up the bottom and pinned back the front and voila!
