I just got a major haircut recently, my hair was past the middle of my back and I cut it to about a chin length layered bob. I got engaged just a couple of weeks after I cut it off and though I love the new haircut and so does my fiance, I am debating whether to keep it short or let it grow as long as possible before our wedding next June. Which do you think looks best…of course it won’t get as long as it was prior to this haircut in 11 months, but I’m sure if I let it grow I could get it around shoulder length or a little past. Which of these ways do you think looks best, and if you think I should keep it short can anyone give ideas or pictures of wedding hairstyles that look good on short hair please?
Look #1 : Long straight hair
Look #2 – Long curly hair
Look # 3: New haircut – short and straight bob:

I like your hair short, but definitely think the long hair is more flattering on you!

I like it longer, but not as long as you had it. So the length it will be by june, with a few trims, will be perfect with layers for your face.

Thanks for the comments so far! Kinda funny how everyone here has said long so far, when I decided to cut it people thought I shouldn’t cut it too short since I am full figured and that longer hair would probably fit my face better, but since I cut it I have gotten compliments all the time on how great it looks short. My fiance likes it long, but he loves the short hair and the color I have it now so I’m kind of torn on whether to keep it this way or grow it longer for the wedding and then maybe cut it back to this similar cut afterwards.

I actually like the short hair best on you. I think it really makes me focus on your pretty eyes! The long hair my eye goes straight to the hair, not your face.

I’d grow it out this year, and if you decide you want it short for the wedding, you can always chop it again then! Better to have options, I think 🙂

i personally have a special place in my heart for short hair – im envious when i see beautiful bobs. I used to wear my hair at about chin length but after i got engaged i started growing it…it is now to the middle of my back and i am terrified to cut it! what happened to the old me who loved funky short hair? ever watch Amsale girls? i’ve been drooling over Emily’s bob.
If you keep it short here are some idea’s on how i would wear it:

@totheislnds: lol I am also drooling over Emily from Amsale Girl’s bob! Right now I would love to use that as my inspiration for my post wedding chop, but who knows if I will feel the same next year!
