OK bees – would like your opinion
I am having my hair trial on Monday to see if my hair can be put in an updo – currently it is just to my shoulders and extremely fine while not thin it does not lend itself to a wedding hairdo. Here is a picture it is curled so it looks shorter than it is
So if it cannot be put up where it looks decent I have two choices – go shorter and just see if they can curl and style it where it looks pretty or I can go for extensions or bun wrap or a donut
My Fiance said he would prefer shorter to fake hair (any kind of extensions, bun hair, donuts etc)- what would you do – I really want to look pretty and romantic on my wedding day but will probably need to pad my hair
Here is a more normal length for me and I would wear it curled not straight
and this is where I have it pulled into an updo but the back is not full and pretty like you would want for your wedding
Here is a picture (it was Halloween and I was dressed up as an angel so do not laugh too hard) of my hair short and curled and this was done really fast so I would assume a stylist could do it much better

I don’t think you “have” to have long or upswept hair to have pretty wedding hair. My personal view is that it’s kind of weird to have something that is really far off from the everyday “you”, just for the wedding. It seems phoney to me. But that’s just me and I mean no offense to those who grow their hair long just for the wedding and get extensions or whatever.
Personally I wanted my look to reflect ME and so my hair was the same as my preferred normal cut, just more “groomed” if you will.
I prefer a chin length inverted bob and I flat ironed it smooth and wore a veil with a hair comb: (excuse the color, it looks weird and I need to photoshop it because it was really a cooler blonde that day)

Ok, i voted for the third option, i’m sorry but it’s too funny and i couldn’t resist :))
I agree with your Fiance and say don’t get extensions. Personally i would be too afraid that fake hair is not attached tight enough and falls off from the head. What a disaster that would be!
Short hair is a part of you and your personality and i don’t see any reason why you should change that. There are tons of pretty and romantic hairstyles for short hair, so keep it the way it is or a bit shorter, have it curled and you will look awesome!

I think your hair could be curled and kinda gathered and ipnned to kind of look like an updo.
