Just sitting here pondering why it’s taking me so long to conceive…I have a very regular period, 30 days on the dot, 15 day luteal phase. But my period usually only lasts about 3 days. My first day is pretty intense, second day is medium to light, and the third day is mostly spotting (sometimes spotting for a second day as well). I know I need to bring this up to my doctor if I am concerned, just wondering if any of you bees have anything similar and if it effected your TTC journey?

Your cycles sound exactly like mine, except mine are 28 days on the dot with a 14 day luteal phase.. but my periods are the same, 3 days long: heavy/medium, medium/light, light/spotting and done.
We just started cycle 8 TTC, but have only had perfect timing maybe 4-5 of those cycles.
I don’t know that my period length is what’s preventing me from conceiving, but I really don’t think that’s what is wrong with me.

My periods are like this and I haven’t had trouble conceiving. Just to add a piece of anecdata.

I hardly have a period at all- maybe 48 hrs- rarely enough to use a tampon. I had no trouble conceiving my daughters- first try for each of them. So hopefully you are the same and having a short period isnt a barrier.

Thank you girls for sharing. My doctor won’t do any testing yet because it hasn’t been a year, so I was just doing my own problem solving. :o)

I had 3 day periods and had no problems getting pregnant with DS (he was an oops). This time around I worried about it as we actually wanted to get pregnant. But when I had my IF work-up and they did a lining check on CD3, mine was perfect. So a short period was not indicative of a lining problem for me.
Has your husband been checked? If your doc won’t order anything for you, maybe his doc could order a SA for him?

Thanks for the input! I am glad to hear it shouldn’t be a problem. I actually just told my Darling Husband to make an appointment. His regular DR should be able to, right? Not a specialist?
