ive seen MANY petite women pull this look off beautifully, you wont know how it suits you till you try it on, i felt the same about mermaid dresses since im kinda short but i love the way it makes me look, makes me look taller surprisingly, but i tried on dresses like that too, the full A-line and i felt pretty darn good in it too
I really think it depends on your body type more than how tall you are. Try it on, you might be surprised by how well it looks. But that’s truly the only way to know for sure.
One thing is certain, you cannot buy a wedding dress by looking at a picture. You have to try it on.
I tried on a dress like that (I’m 5′ 2″) and I DEFINITELY couldn’t pull it off. But, you never know until you try it! One of my prom dresses was a pretty large ball gown, and I loved it on me, despite what they say about short girls never wearing ball gowns. I say give it a shot and see if you love it on your own body, and not just in the picture.
I’m 5’1 and I was swimming in a dress like that! That being said, I fell in love with every large ballgown I put on but in hindsight realized that I just didn’t quite have the height or the proportions for it. BUT, you’ll never know unless you try it!
A friend of mine is quite petite, and I was part of her gown search. She tried on a similar gown with pick ups and I thought that it made her look taller! It was a fabulous look for her!
the view from this angle(front) doesn’t look as overwhelming? I wonder if the first pic had a peti coat underneath?
If the allure c170 doesn’t totally make me look super small then i’m pretty sure you can pull off this dress! it’s definitely hard to imagine, especially when you’re standing on a pedestal, but go try it on and have someone take photos of you so you can see what you look like through someone else’s eyes… and you can post it on the bee and see what people say… but you definitely don’t know for sure until you try!
