I have the same problem!  I usually find myself wearing the layered look.  I like wearing a fitted long sleeve tee with a different color cami underneath it.  I don’t know that it looks all that good but I feel like it shows off my curves because they are lost in flowy tops. 🙁  I can usually dress it up pretty well with different scarfs and jewelry so its office appropriate.

I’m interested in hearing what others have to say.

I’m also short-waisted and busty, although I wish my hips were wider.  For me, I find that low-waisted anything is my best friend.  Obviously, not the 2000’s, right-at-the-hairline low, but I like bottoms that fasten a couple inches below my belly-button for sure.  Wearing a structured shirt that tucks into said bottoms also looks very flattering.

The other thing I love is v-necks!  They’re always super-flattering.  Longer shirts in general that hit the hip bone look nice too. 🙂

@Mrs_Amanda:  I know I’m late to this, but I’d just like to say that I share your pain! I know exactly how you feel (minus having boobs- what are they?). Being short waisted sucks. Belting things, which is supposed to make you look skinnier looks horrendous, and tucking shirts looks pretty awful too. I too gain weight in my stomach first. That combined with a short waist is killer- there’s just no wiggle room!
