You’ll find it! I’m 5’3″, was on the pedestal in this pic, and it’s un-altered:

buzzingbridex:  I know it’s hard, but don’t feel discouraged. Other Bees have given you great advice: Find a designer that will customize a dress to your measurments and remember not everyone looks great in a sample. I looked like dough spilling out of a can in all of the sample dresses I tried on in the bridal shop and it made me feel huge and disgusting. I ended up selling the original dress I purchased because I still wasn’t comfortable and I went for something different. I ordered mine on Modcloth and I’m in love. Here I am, 5’2 in 2 inch heels:

I’m 5’1 and definitely had to have alterations on my Casablanca 2067 gown.  But any seamstress worth her stuff should be able to make the dress fit your proportions.  I did wear heels that were about 2.5″ – 3″, but we still had to adjust the length in alterations.

buzzingbridex:  I am 5’0″ and this is the dress I wore (Mori Lee 1655 with some changes). After they cut the hem, I asked for the material they cut off to save for future projects, that way I don’t have to actually cut my wedding dress if I wanted to use part of it for something 🙂

I am 5’3 (on a good day) and went with an Alvina Valenta trumpet/mermaid style. It was the only style I found that I didn’t get swallowed up in.

buzzingbridex:  I know that feeling. Some dressed definitely wore me and not the other way around. Even the necklines and sleeves had a big effect on the overall look. I opted for something more fitted and the delicate cap sleeves looked best to me to sort of complete the shape. Standing on the pedastool here. Dress should come in at the end of this month so hopefully I’ll have more/better pictures soon! Still have some weight to lose before beginning alterations too.

I’m 5’2 1/2 (every inch counts!) and this is mine. I’m in a sample and standing on the pedestal sans heels (it’ll definitely need to be hemmed a few inches). It’s a fit and flare, so I liked that I didn’t look short in it. The fabric (charmeuse) is super comfy, too! The style is “Cora” by Love Marley.

I’m 4’11 so I COMPLETELY understand! Everything was literally a foot too long so it was so hard to imagine 🙁 I probably tried on 20 dresses / 3-4 stores before I found my dress but I found a lot that I liked!! I went with an A Line Allure 2701, a lot of gowns they will let you order hollow to hem / custom length which saves you a headache on alterations!!

Here is me in a fitted dress for reference too. This is Maggie Sottero Chesney

I’m 5’0. The first is my dress that I already have…but I’m having regret so I’m going to try the second one on this weekend. I will try to post pics afterward.

I haven’t made the final decision but this is my favorite so far. I’m just under 5″2 and I was worried I would look like I was a little girl trying on my mom’s dress, but I loved a lot of them. Don’t get discouraged, go to a bridal salon where the consultant is knowledgeable and I promise you you’ll feel amazing
