@Allie99:
I’m with you on that one! My mom is upset with me for not getting a full-length gown with a train, but my future mother-in-law loves the dress I picked.

Since you are in the states, you might want to check out Stephanie James Couture! I love her dresses, but she didn’t have any Canadian retailers that carried her line.

I bought this for next summer’s wedding from David’s Bridal (Designer is Oleg Cassini)

Tea-length dresses will look awesome with a petticoat/slip. I definitely felt like a princess without having to drag a train behind me. God help me if I had a train, walking on heels!! (I’m such a klutz)

Tea length power all the way 🙂 I’ve shared mine to death, but here it is again…

 It’s the first dress with the bow on the second in a denim blue. So excited to see it on May 19.

@Allie99:  Have you found any dresses you love?

@Cynderbug:  I second Stephanie James Couture. I can’t say enough good things about her. She’s wonderful in person and really knows about fit

Always go for whatever you feel most comfortable with. It is ultimately YOUR wedding. If you still want to compromise in some way, you can get a tea length dress with a train, which is what I have. It looks somewhat like this, but shorter in front.

@bretonvirgniia:  It is also by Stephanie James Couture. It’s the “Josephine” with blue silk underneath. Mine is the “Nadine” with a Josephine bow

@bretonvirgniia:  I got a pretty good deal by buying directly from her. Also, all the alterations were included in the price of the dress. She was fantastic to work with!
