Mine didn’t need alterations. I wouldn’t send it back. I would go local.

I agree with you, it should fit you..  .. I’d find a local person to alter it, fast since your leaving so soon.  Ask at work, friends, family someone knows somebody that can fix that.  and send the etsy person the bill for the alterations. You really don’t have time for mailling back and forth.

I had my gown custom made and it did the same thing…fell right down. It definitely needed alterations, and I was with her up until the night before my wedding getting them done. Not much consolation when you’re under a time crunch or don’t live locally, but it is better that its big and not too small. Mine was mailed to me in another state 2000 miles away, and I shed a lot of tears over how big it was. She made it fit perfectly, tho, but it was all at the last minute!

Wow! So sorry!  I would have it altered locally and ask her to pay for it.  Especially if she was late on getting it to you.  But the reality is you may have to sue her for the difference.  I’m not sure where you are, but for $175, my daughter got her dress altered and a corsett back put in on her dress in Wilmington, California.  By The Way, I cant believe that she wants you to pay for return shipping on HER mistake.  Really has some cajones!

Best of luck to you, my daughter’s date twin!
