Personally I suggest no… Your dress is gorgeous and has enough going on already

Personally, I always love the belt add-ons.  However, with your dress and the flower already down a bit and the asymmetrical (wrong word?!) drop, the belt would be too distracting, but just my opinion. Your dress is so pretty as is! But it doesn’t mean it can’t be done.  Why don’t you try one on with it and see how it looks?

How about jewelery and veil?  Would that help complete the look for you?

I’d say go for it. It seems to me the dress is missing a tiny bit of bling and can use a thin belt added under the bust like the picture.

I really like the belt; I think it would look awesome. If you decide it against it, though, the flower on the dress does add enough that you COULD leave it without an accessory.

Honestly I love your dress the way it is! If you feel like it needs a little “oomph” a small belt might look nice.

I like your necklace! If you try on a belt and don’t quite like how that looks would you like the idea of getting/making some dramatic earrings to match your necklace and bracelet?

@fvsoccer: I would literally put everything on… the dress, veil, that pretty necklace, any earrings or bracelets you plan on wearing and add a thin belt and see if you love it.  It’s so hard to say, but if you want that extra sparkle definately try it.

This is far fetched and I already like your dress the way it is, but how about adding some small rhinestone detail inside the flower?  Small broach (like really small in the center of either rhinestone only or pearl/rhinestone mixture) or speak with the seamstress to see if they have any ideas.

Good luck!

with the flower already on it, if it were me and i wanted to add a belt, i’d add a ribbon belt instead of a rhinestine belt, maybe with a little more fabric flower detail.  especially with the pearl jewelry.  the fabric flower and pearls say “soft and romantic” to me, whereas the sparkly bling of a rhinestone belt (even a thin one) says “glam”.  if you want to do the rhinestone belt, i’d take the fabric flower off and put a brooch there, and get different jewelry.

(of course this is just my opinion…if you love the look, go for it!)

i think that if there were no flower i would say do it. but with the flower and belt, it might look like too much and not match.

@fvsoccer: I agree with other PPs I think a belt wont work because of the ruffles and the asymetrical line of the dress from the flower
