My waist is one of the best parts of my body and I feel like my dress isn’t showing it off enough? Unfortunately, I don’t have any pictures of it on me, because I was afraid Fiance would find it 🙁 Looking at the dress, do you think I could get away with adding a belt or what it be too much? I don’t want to go too blingy! (the dress has a few crystals on it already)
If I was to wear a belt, would your advice be to go for a modest, lace option (I think this might give me the right shape without being noticable at all?
A bigger belt
Or a ‘inbetween’?

I think if you really want a belt, I’d go for something simple, like a satin ribbon in your choice of colors. I think those belts you posted look too similar to the fabric of the dress to be of use in defining your waist. Your dress is gorgeous by the way!

I wouldn’t put a beaded belt, it’ll just blend into the dress. I would put a crystal belt so it’d pop!

monsterly: I agree. I think a thin sash with crystals can really accentuate your waist without being too blingy or overpowering your gorgeous dress.

I’m pro medium size belt!

The downfall of a belt though is that it will most likely be sewn into the dress. Unless it is tied separately from the dress, it is just going to lay on top of the dress rather than synch your waist in. I would probably focus on altering your dress in to being tighter around your waist to give you more definition 🙂 Gorgeous dress!

Totally agree with snowflake1! You dress is stunning but I think a dainty belt couldn’t hurt it one bit.

Usually, I’m all for belts, but the seamlessness of the lace on your dress looks amazing without a belt – I totally agree with other Bees though, I don’t think a dainty belt would break up the look of the lace too much and could add some sparkle!

I think you should leave it just as it is, it is beautiful. If your already have a nice willowy waist, that’s lovely, no need to try and accentuate it more .
I have always thought belts rarely do that anyway on fitted dresses, they add bulk and often seem to make the waist look wider than it is. (On a ballgown, it is a bit different and can make the big skirt look even more flared out from the waist)

I think you should leave it as is, I feel like a belt would just take away from the dress.

I think belts are getting over used. Just another facet of the wedding industry.
