Hello Bees! I recently said yes to this dress. I love the dress and the way it fits. I just think that it is a little too plain for me. I tried on two belts with it at the bridal salon and didn’t like it with the ruching. Maybe it was just the belts I tried on.I was thinking of maybe adding embellishments to the dress like the pic below to the neckline and maybe above the skirt. Any advice/ input would help.

The dress is beautiful as is. I wouldn’t change a thing.

First your body looks amazing in this dress! I’m a bling person myself but I love this dress. If absolutely want to add something, I would add the beading to the top of the dress but not the skirt.

I would choose to leave the dress as is, but it’s not my dress and you love bling! So I say just add a blingy belt. There’s a lot going on with the dress – ruching, ruffles, the asymmetrical skirt … you don’t want to detract from how lovely you look in it.

I would wear plain for ceremony and add a very narrow blingy belt for the reception – then you have best of both worlds! You look beautiful in it either way. Xx

I think a belt would cut you off into 3 parts and take away from the dress.
It depends on your venue and your whole “look”. If it’s more of a causal affair, I say leave the dress as it is but add a big bkongy necklace or a thick jeweled chain like I saw posted on here before. I’ll try to add a pic. If it’s a fancy, extravagant wedding then I say yes! !! To the added jewels on skirt and neckline.
Like this one!! She is selling it on here!

No sash/belt, no embellishments on the dress! Add sparkle with your accessories; consider these:

The dress is beautiful as is and fits you perfectly. I say bling out with jewelry and leave the dress the way it is.

baebride : I’m not a fan of the bling in the inspiration pic, so I would skip it. I think the beauty of the dress is its lack of bling – it makes the skirt feel all that much more dramatic

If you didn’t like the blingy belts on top of the ruching, I don’t think you’ll like attached beading either. That dress is divinely perfect just the way it is. Your figure is to die for… I’d look into blingy accessories: a necklace, earrings, bracelet would up your sparkle!

I love your dress as-is. 🙂 But I like simple!
You can maybe add a belt but most people do that to emphasize a small waist and your waist already looks so amazing! You have an amazing hourglass figure!! So you don’t really need a belt. But if you do want a belt try googling pics Pronovias Mildred and Mori Lee 5108 which are kind of similar to your dress. It will give you an idea of what kind of belts you would like with your dress. Personally I think one with a design bigger in the middle that kind of tapers out would be a better choice than a simple band kind of belt.
Definitely, no to the bedazzling of the neckline and above the skirt.
Again, you look so gorgeous in that dress!! Love, love, love it!!

I haven’t read any other comments, but I would say keep the dress as is, I think the simplicity of it is what makes it so striking! If you want to dress it up a bit more, I would say consider bold jewlery and maybe some kind of sparkly veil vs changing it… What if you end up hating any additions?

lifeisbeeutiful : I would say we are going for something between casual and extravagant if that makes any sense. And that is a very pretty necklace thanks for sharing.
claroquesi : Thanks for sharing I will definitely check out this etsy store.
poodleymix : The 5108 has the exact same top. I actually tried that dress on as well, but I liked the drama in the bottom of this one more. Maybe I need to try it on with more belts. It could have just been the shape of the two belts I tried on with it.
I also just found about shoulder necklaces and would consider one of those as well.

You look fabulous!
I agree with PP that a belt might cut your figure strangely, especially given the assymetrical skirt. I love the dress as-is, but I think it could also look gorgeous with added beading around the neckline, or as a blingy necklace.
