This is the dress I bought a week after I got engaged (never intended, there was a store going out of sale after 40 years so my now bridesmaid and I went just for fun and I fell in love). Originally I had imagined subtle lace on the arms and chest area but I did love this dress. I’m not sure if it’s something that can be added, how much it would be or if I should even add it?

Take it to a seamstress and see what she says. I’m sure they do that all the time.

I love your dress!! Personally I’m a big fan of sleeves– I don’t like strapless as much. I think with this dress, sleeves would look totally natural (not like they were just added on). Honestly I think you could do cap sleeves, 3/4, or long and they would all look good! Maybe see if your seamstress can show you what it would look like.

That dress is so regal! You look great!
I wasn’t sure about having so much of my chest and shoulders exposed, so I added sleeves.
Turns out that was worse, so I cut them off the morning of my wedding.
It’s an expense to have a professional sew them on, but they can always be removed by an amateur bride with scissors.
And I felt so beautiful and awesome on my wedding day! Hope this helps!

Maybe you can order a plain/ lace topper to go with the dress.
BHLDN has some great ones.

David’s Bridal has great ones too. Here’s a plain wedding topper from David’s that would look great with your dress.
