Has anyone altered a straight strapless into a sweeheart? I love my dress but am considering having it changed to a slight sweetheart line. There is lace at the top so I am not sure how that will work. I am not obsessive about the symmetry/perfection of the lace, but I still don’t want it to look weird. Let me know what you think!

I like it that way! It’s beautiful without a sweetheart neckline!

It’s hard to say without seeing it on you. For some, the sweetheart looks better and for some the straight neckline looks better. I’m sure it could be altered if you wanted to do it. I think it looks beautiful the way it is. Are you wearing the lace shrug or no?

I’m not wearing the shrug, it was just part of the picture. I like it the way it is too, but then I feel like every strapless gown I see is a sweetheart (maybe because I keep watching say yes to the dress )

i really like it the way it is, i wouldn’t change it! just cause everyone else has a sweetheart neck doesn’t mean you have to 🙂

If you love it the way it is and it looks great on you, don’t alter it. Plus, this dress has a modern feel to it, and sweetheart necklines feel more traditional to me. Go with your gut!

that’s dress is gorgeous!! I wouldn’t change a thing

I think it would depend how it looks on you. Depending on the shape of your shoulders/chest a sweetheart may look more flattering, or not. I would approach it as figuring out which flatters you more, vs. what is more trendy/fashiony.

I love it the way it is, and i htink lace is proably harder to alter correctly for a sweetheart.

I did a modified sweetheart on my dress which was originally straight across it made the dress so much better, however that dress is gorgeous!!

I love this dress the way it is, but to give you the most complete feedback, I’d need to see it on you.

i love sweetheart necklines and i believe it makes the bride look even more romantic and feminine. if i come across a gown that i love but with straight neckline, i’ll for sure alter it to a sweetheart neckline.

I love it the way it is, but I think it depends on how it looks on your body. Do you have any pics of you in it?
LOVE that dress! I also love the shrug that goes over it– does that come with your dress and you’re just not wearing it, or do you order it separately?
