- Wedding: November 2012
My Future Brother-In-Law and his girlfriend have been together about the same time my fiance and I have, and I’m pretty sure they will be engaged really soon. Definitely before our wedding. She’s about the same age as me, and we get along really well. I’m not very close with her because they live in another state, but if we lived closer I’m sure we’d be good friends.
My fiance asked me if I was going to ask her to be a Bridesmaid or Best Man..in a way that made it seem it was expected I would. I mean, he doesn’t care either way, and I know that she isn’t expecting me to or anything, but now I’m wondering if I should?
Also, I don’t want her to feel left out on the day-of. My Future Brother-In-Law and Future Father-In-Law will be getting ready with my fiance that day.. and my Future Mother-In-Law will probably be getting ready with me & my girls..so I don’t want her to feel alone. I would like to include her, since I’m 99.9% sure she will be my sister in law one day.
I am not asking much of any of my BM’s except to wear the dress and show up at the wedding, so I don’t think it would be a burden on her. But then again, I don’t want her to feel awkward and obliged to say yes, if in fact she thinks I’m weird for even asking. Like I said, we’re not really that close, but when we do hang out, we get along well.
Should I ask her to be a BM? Would you?
