I atually prefer the look of the plain solitaire, and I very much like the four prong look as well. Is it the same stone in both photos? It looks larger in the second photo with the plain setting. I don’t think it would hurt him to tell him that you worry about the durability of the thin micro-pave and that you want to be able to wear your ring as much as possible.

I’d talk to him I’m a classic solitare girl 100% just explain as you did to us and I’m sure he’ll understand and want you to wear it 247

Well… I’ve worked as a vet tech, and I’d def be leaving my ring home.

But I am also prone to losing things when off my body, so get your concern.

For a minute, focus on the aesthetics. Do you truly dislike the micropave? If yes, then speak up immediately. If not then I’d leave it be and try to leave it home in your jewelry box.

CVT here.  Leave your ring at home, regardless of which you have.  I have a spare plain band that I wear for work.

Ha, yeah. I was all… is she cray???!? My hands would get all kinds of covered in various things.

But at the same time…. I know that taking off a new engagement ring would suckkkkkkk. Especially as often as you’ll be at work.

Enso sounds like a great compromise. Especially the pretty metallic colored ones!

Let is know how it works for you.

You could always wear it on a necklace at work if you want to wear the actual ring along with the enso ring!

Here’s my thought: I am pretty sure you can’t exchange a custom setting from BN and are you even within their really short exchange time frame?

So here is what I’d do: it’s a beautiful setting and it won’t just break and fall off your finger. Wear it like you’d wear a plain or more sturdy ring and do not worry. Then when things happen you still will have the option to get a new setting…

I am not a VT but I am a 24/7 girl. I wear my rings all the time for everything and I never worry. (Tiffany style solitaire + full eternity shared prong)

jenniferkim06 :  Just be honest – you don’t like the pave and you like the classic band, which you told him but he ignored you.  Hence you need to send him back to the store to obtain the right setting and use the extra money he gets to pocket in savings to take you out to a nice dinner.  The end.
