There is no such thing. That’s just silly. If you like the dress and you think it’s for you, then buy it.

I don’t believe it’s bad luck. All depends on how much you believe in that stuff.

I’m a huge believer that everything carries energy. I realize not everyone thinks this. I personally would not and would want my own, new dress.

Agreed, it’s only bad luck if you believe it 🙂

Why not? It’s cheaper and it’s pretty.

Besides, whatever bad juju you may think is leftover from the divorce, I assure you, it’s not attached to the dress! Maybe steer clear of their old bed, though… 😉

Paraphrasing a quote from the movie Titanic: “A real man (or lady) makes their own luck”.  As long as the dress is the one you want, I wouldn’t worry about its past.

@mrsedwardslpn:  Then I think you have your answer? Maybe it’s not that it comes from a divorced woman…maybe it’s just not the dress for you?  Or maybe it’s just not the time to get it? If something sticks out to you, no matter the reason, then I think you should pay attention to that rather than if it’s bad luck or not.

Only if she wore it carefully and drycleaned afterwards:)

I would. I’m sure they didn’t get divorced because of the dress so why not?!

I can assure you that being divorced is not a question of bad luck!!  The dress used in the original wedding bears no relation to a breakdown of a marriage.

There is a difference between wanting a brand-new dress or a second-hand one but that is a question of personal taste and/or budget.

In a heartbeat if the price is right.

Did they get divorced because of the dress?

its an object….if you like it go for it lol

“people” cause divorces…not things they have in their homes 😉
