If you are not comfortable wearing your first dress for obvious reasons, then don’t.  You can get some beautiful dresses inexpensively, either through sales or through second hand dresses.  I am sorry about your first, but I am thrilled for you that you found a new love.  I hope that he will be understanding about why you don’t want to wear it.  Please come back and show us you in the dress, whatever you decide.

I only paid $350 for my dress (which was new and not a floor sample), so it’s totally possible. ๐Ÿ™‚

Every bride deserves to look the way she wants on her wedding day. If you feel better knowing you are wearing a different dress, then do it.

definitely get a new dress, the first one would have too many memories, but whatever makes you happy ๐Ÿ™‚

A lot of bees have ordered their dresses from companies like dressilyme, they can be pretty inexpensive and you have a long time before your wedding to have one made. That might be something to check into ๐Ÿ™‚

So sorry to hear about your husband. Personally, I think that a new dress would signify a new start. Perhaps you could use some of the fabric of your first dress to add an accent (sash/bouquet wrap/train insert) as a way of ‘remembering’ your first husband? Further, places like DB always have bargain dresses so it’s totally doable with your budget. Good luck.

personally, i would get a new dress.  Preserve the first one with the memories of your 1st husband.  Begin your new marriage with a new dress.

I couldn’t wear the old dress as I think your new marriage is a new start. I am sorry for the loss of your husband and it sounds like the man you are marrying is a keeper for giving you the option of wearing it.

I got my custom dress at DressilyMe and I paid $144 including shipping and a garment bag. It’s gorgeous and it looks like a dress that cost 10 times that!

Best wishes whatever you decide! Smile Only you know what’s right for you.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I think a new gown for a new life and new husband is a good idea. That first dress has a lot of memories attatched to it, I’m sure.
