I am very interested in looking into these websites. Does anyone know anything about/has anyone read about/ordered from VPonsale.com? It’s really cheap ($200-300) and everything is made in China but it’s almost cheap enough for me to want to try it. Of course, I’m probably too skeptical to actually do it but if I had an extra few hundred laying around I might do it out of curiousity.

My mother in law just got remarried this past July and she got her dress from http://www.lilywedding.com/  It was very quick, great quality, the material was not cheap like you’d expect. I’d definitely recommend that site to anyone. They make the dresses to order based off your measurements. Can’t beat it, certainly a bargain worth looking into.

I second Miss Hot Cocoa!  Because of her, I bought my dress at the same place she did and had no problems.  I sortta cheated though because I was able to drive out to the owner’s home to see the dress and such – totally legit with the most pleasant experience ever!

 Check it out: http://www.dreambridalla.com

owner: Britta – she’s WONDERFUL!

I bought my Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses and dress from Netbride.com. I cannot say enough nice things about them.  I spoke with Meg and asked her a million questions before I ordered (how could their prices be so low? why aren’t there more bridal testimonials? and so on). Their customer service is stellar, I saved $500 and it arrived in perfect condtion six weeks early. My Bridesmaid or Best Man dresses were early arrivals and perfect too.  Email Norah and if you send her a link to a legitimate online store with a lower price quote, they will beat it. I love them!

I bought mine on Ebay from a Chinese seller, saved a ton of $$$$$$$$$$$$ and its the most gorgeous thing I have ever seen. Fits perfect too (but then again, I did send my measurements – it had better fit!)… =)

OK— here is the picture of the offshore experiment. Details
Company: Dressily.com
Ordered 8/29/10 Arrived 9/13/10 cost: $140 with coupon and shipping
Fit- almost perfectly- I did custom- gave all my measurements
Material- thinner and lighter than most I have felt but for a spring/summer wedding that’s an asset
Stitching- there might be an issue with the center arrow- it could be perceived as off center, or it could be me
Corset back- quality modesty panel, and ribbon.

Suggestions- need advice– thinking of criss cross straps- just for security, creating silver ribbon in corset to pick up the silver threads, and a crinolin. Your thoughts?

If you want any details on stitching/material- please let me know- we will take closeups.

@evalague:Hi there! which website did you use! i was thinking of doing the same thing, but i was afraid the replica dress would not be as pretty or be made with as nice material! it’s so hard to tell!

Thanks!

The site http://www.victoriasbridalcouture.com/location.html is actually a really nice bridal store I have been there several times and it right around the corner from my job. it’s a pretty nice place so I don’t think there’s any shady business going on there. I have never ordered frm them but I thought it would help to let you all now it is a real brick bridal store in a nice area.
