I bought my wedding dress Adele from Maggie Sottero and I wanted to add a beaded belt to add some bling. I tried one on at the bridal shop that was really thin, I liked it but didn’t love it. Maggie Sottero just came out with her new fall collection and I love the dress and beaded belt on the Abrienna dress. I could order it to add to my Adele dress, but it is hard because I can’t try it on with my dress unless I order it. Do you think the detachable belt on the Abrienna dress will look good on the Adele dress?
Here is the link to the Abrienna dress for the beaded belt.

I am getting married at the Outer Banks in the Elizabethean Gardens and I wanted something beachy, yet still formal. I would love for you comments… I wasn’t sure if the belt would be to thick for my dress… maybe I need something thinner… but I LOVE that belt!

I think that belt would work with your dress. It’s thick but is a wow belt and your dress could pull it off. You’ll have to have it sewn in and cut for the corset, so it still shows through. How much is it to order just the belt?

@Miss Sunset: I just got a call back from my bridal boutique and they said that they contacted Maggie Sottero and the cost of the belt is $195, but I would get a 20% off through my bridal salon since I already bought the dress. So the total for the belt would be $156 before taxes. I don’t know if that is a good price… but it is a WOW belt and I think it would add that WOW factor to my dress that I feel it is missing. And I thought I would have it sewed on to the dress because I didn’t want the bow to cover the corset back. My bridal boutique said it would not be expensive to sew the belt to the dress.

I like it better without, IMO, but I don’t think it would look bad with the belt, either.

Like honeyoats22 I like it better without the belt, thought I think it would be okay with the belt. If you want WOW, how about having the WOW come from your jewelry?

I think it depends on your body type. That belt is on the thicker side which looks great on straighter girls, if you’re more curvy, I’d go with a thinner belt.

I think the belt will look great with that dress. That is just about the exact same look I am going for with my dress and belt. My “Jasmine” belt cost $250, for what its worth, so while expensive, I think $156 sounds reasonable to me. Go for it!

i vote for with belt but my dress is calista from maggie so i may be biased.

I like it better without. Your dress can definitely stand on its own — it is its own WOW factor! The design is exquisite. OMG I LOVE how it falls and how the material gently ruffles at its edges. Gush! 🙂 I think a belt would conflict with the beautiful back corset of your dress, and just get in the way of its overall elegant lines.
