It’s hard to get an opinion from strangers because everyone’s tastes are just so different. I love a cushion solitaire, but I really dislike a round stone in a cushion solitare!

I vote halo!! I don’t like solitares usually for me. And I love the look of the cushion halo with a round center. That is exactly what I have now.

I’m not a fan of halos, personally. I feel like they age me, as does milgrain and yellow gold.

mariastarlove :  What’s a beautiful set! May I ask what color/brand gold polish you have on your ring finger? I’m looking for that color gold for my son’s wedding. Thanks in advance!

sscarpellini :  What does your gut tell you? Whenever I have asked jewelry advice, and then taken it, I have regretted not going with what I loved. Your set is very pretty and I love the extra band in between! I do think the halo looks lovely also.

I have a halo ring and I think its absolutely stunning. HOWEVER, I always am dealing with loose side diamonds in the halo and its a giant pain. I am actually thinking of having it reset due to the struggles. Just some food for thought, otherwise I do love them personally.

I voted solitaire. While I feel the cushion halo on a round is very pretty, I feel like it’s a very specific look right now. So if it’s what you really want, by all means, but I think it’s definitely a trendy style so A) you’ll see a lot of others that look bascially the same and B) in a few years it will look very specific to this time period. But if those things don’t bother you and it’s what you want, go for it!

I vote solitaire (but maybe with a gorgeous new stacking band for finger coverage)? Solitaires are timeless, and halos definitely seem like a trend. You have such lovely, slender fingers – you could definitely pull off a stack that could make your solitaire pop!

sscarpellini :  Buy a CZ halo from Berricle or Amazon and wear it for a while and see how you like it.

I would suggest buy a cheap halo from amazon or etsy and wear it for a few weeks. See how you like it. If a halo is what you like, go for it. Halos have been around for a looooong time…so is rose gold (another thing people deem trendy). Trends come and go. Yellow gold solitaires are making a come back believe or not. Halos were popular in the 20s, then in the 80s again and it’s back to being popular. Fashion and trends cycles and come around. Solitaires or halos, as long as it makes your heart smile every time you look at your ring. Everyone else’s opinions don’t really matter, you’re wearing it. 🙂
