This is the dress I am wearing but I would like to have a veil with it. I will be wearing my mom’s tiara (I know, losts of bees on here don’t like them!) So I was wondering if I should create my own and embroider a similar design on the edges? Is it hard to embroider a veil?

I don’t want the veil to go over my face, just attached to the tiara and go down the back of the dress. Maybe only hip or bum length. The bottom skirt is tulle with embroidery all over.
Or should I not have one at all?

I don’t know anything about embroidering tulle, but making a single teir veil is pretty easy. There are tons of tutorials on line and it only takes about 15-30 min tops. I think a veil would look great with this dress. How do you feel about a plain one though because your dress has so much going on? I feel like the embroidery on the veil would take away from the dress and make it too busy.

How about just the purple only at the edges?

My mother and I made my veil out of a very thin organza instead of tulle- that was a BAD idea. It looked fine, but it was a nightmare to work with. I have worked with tulle, though, and you have to be very careful with stray threads, make the reverse look as good as the front, and watch your tension. By hand it’s do-able, but I wouldn’t want to use an embroidery machine on tulle unless you are a genius with the tensioner! It snags very easily.
