I say go for it if you really want it, some girls can totally rock it! But my roommate a few years ago used that photo as inspriation to cut her hair short and was complaining a week later to never let her cut her hair short again, hopefully you love it more than she did! On another note, I have my hair super long (elbow length) and as a petite girl it’s starting to make me look younger than I am (in a bad way) but I don’t think I will ever take the plunge again and go that short.

It’s hair. It will grow back. I say do it. (Also, that’s a really cute cut but will likely look a bit different with a more realistic part–that’s one deep side part.)

I cut my hair after the wedding to that same length and have hated it ever since. And I was really looking forward to it! It really surprised me, and I miss my long hair. But if you’ve had it short before and love it, then you know best.

Go for it! But like PP said, be aware that that style will look different IRL, and maybe get some other inspirational pictures to bring to the hairdressers too.

I can’t wait to cut my hair off! It’s now the longest it has ever been, and is almost touching my waist. I’ve never had long hair for this long either (I usually get bored with my hair every six months), but my wedding is in 8 months, and I want to have a halo braid inspired hair style, so I can’t cut it until after the wedding and it’s driving me mad! Getting stuck everywhere and blowing in my face and taking so long to dry 😛

I’ll be going against the grain here… Don’t cut it if you still feel attached to the long hair!! Everytime I’ve cut my hair short I regretted it, and complain until it’s long again. Right before my daughter was born I cut off 21 inches! Plus, I always find cute short haircuts online, but my hair NEVER turns out like the pictures. That picture you posted is SUPER cute, but do you naturally have a lot of volume? I have a cut right now that’s similar, but my hair is fine and flat and in my opinion it looks silly on me!

It always grows back…

My hair grows like weeds, so this is my philosophy.  I frequently donate it and then grow it back out again.

My hair was about that length when my friend got engaged NYE 2010 I started growing it out then for her wedding… when i realized how long it was going to take to grow it I decided that I needed to keep going until my wedding (i wasn’t even engaged yet).  It’s taken me until now (4 years?!) to grow it to the middle of my back… just a warning if you decide you want your long hair back for the wedding… 2 years might not be enough. I’ve had it trimmed a few times but I never cut off more than an inch or so.

I think I know how you’re feeling,

sarahramo. My hair is pretty long (elbow/past-waist length) and some days I absolutely love how long it is and everything that goes along with having long hair but some days I positively hate it and want to cut it off. For the record, I originally started growing it out to donate it because I’ve always admired people who chose to do that and my hair had gotten quite a bit longer than usual, anyway.

Try to keep in mind that if you have a lot of wavy hair, it not like any of those girls’ hair. You need to consider that waves get more pronounced when they’re shorter. You can still style it like some of those girls in the pictures, but they seem to have straighter, finer hair. Just food for thought.
