(Closed) Should I email our caterer… Again?? Help!

A week is too long to wait.  All of my vendors respond to my emails in 2-3 days tops, even during the busy wedding season.  Honestly, if she’s this unresponsive before you sign the contract, you may want to cut your losses and look elsewhere.  I don’t think you offended them at all – 2 emails in a week is reasonable and not excessive.

Here’s what I would tell her: “Hi caterer, I’m just following up to see if there has been any progress on our last inquiry.  We would really like to move forward and book after reviewing your notes.  If we can’t get a timely response, we may need to pursue other catering options.”  Make them aware that you are looking at other options.  If they still can’t give you a response in a reasonable timeframe, they are probably not worth hiring.
