(Closed) Should I Find Another Caterer?

@futuremrsndl:  I would advise you to go forth with this caterer very very carefully. If they have never catered anything off-site then the potential for things to go wrong could be high.

It sounds like you will have to rent everything…another thing to think about is did the manager mention if they would do a tea/coffee service after the dinner? If so, it is likely that you would need to also add on coffee urns and mugs to your rental.

It might be better to go with a catering company, just for the peace of mind.

I would be extremely wary about a caterer who rarely does off-site catering events. If they don’t have the experience, that could cause a ton of problems that you shouldn’t have to deal with on your wedding day.

Also, most caterers/venues will include the silverware, glasses, etc. This is another thing you should NOT have to worry about. You’ve got enough going on already!

I think the fact that he/she upset you by asking why you’d choose that venue is the biggest red flag. 

There is too much potential for things to go wrong with this caterer. I’d suggest finding someone else with a solid reputation and more experience (and better manners)!
