I think the deciding question is this: do you want the option to wear your wedding ring by itself? Or do you want to always have to wear your engagement ring and wedding ring together as a set? For me, it was really important to have a wedding ring I could wear by itself, so I didn’t even consider a curved band. And I’m so glad – I actually don’t wear my engagement ring most days, so I’m glad I chose a wedding ring that looks great on its own.

I voted to get a regular band but to wear both on the ring finger.  Unless you don’t like the gap…

Get the straight band, and wear them both on your left hand.

ETA- Just saw that you responded saying you don’t like a gap. I would go for the curved band then.

I voted for a straight band. I think it gives you more options (such as wearing the band solo).

Wow, your ring is almost exactly the same as my engagement ring! I, too, struggled with the debate about a straight versus curved wedding band and was hoping to avoid a curved band because I’m not a fan of the look. The solution proposed by my jeweler is to modify the “basket” area of the engagement ring so that a straight band can be worn directly underneath the ring. No curved ring and no gap. Does that make sense?

Mrs Estep has a ruby ring with a similar profile.  She got a very low profile, flat plain band, and was actually able to wear it slightly under the basket, so there was hardly any gap.  It really made for a beautiful look, and I think it would work with your ring, too.
