I did not hire one and I would recommend it. I’m a very organized person with no bridal party to worry about, and the last minute details are still driving me a little nuts. Everything is going pretty well, but I couldn’t imagine wrangling a bridal party myself while trying to be relaxed on the day of.

DOC was the BEST money we ever spent.  She was amazing and did so much shit that day.  if we wouldn’t have hired her, I don’t think our wedding would have turned out properly.

I hired one, and although she was a bit useless when it came to all the details, I am still glad that I had someone vs not having anyone.

I am a DOC, so I guess my opinion is slightly biased– but I will tell you this, when I got married, I had not 1, but 2! I had 1 for the ceremony and 1 for the reception (couldn’t be the same person because the catering was a friend, and he needed help with stuff that washappening during the ceremony).

As someone who knows VERY well all of the little things that can and might go worng or out of step; I really feel this was the best decision I could have made.  It was so much better to hear about all my wedding’s hiccups AFTER they were solved, instead of while I was having my hair curled!

Emphatically, YES! I did not have one, because our venue had staff that was supposed to fill that role but really did not. In some ways, I ended up serving as my own DOC, and, for this and other reasons involving my timeline, I was not able to enjoy my day the way that I had hoped.

We’re not having an overly complicated wedding…that said I do need someone to help out day of so I am hiring a family member (fmil’s distant relative) to be my day of helper.  I will have a list of detailed jobs for her to help with…she will be a lifesaver day of (and noght before).

I’m actually hiring a month of coordinator! She was SUPER cheap, though! Do research and check prices! Mine is only $675 for the entire month of.
