I’ve been working with a jeweler on etsy to try to get a ring and to set up my layaway link it took him 9 days to respond…and now I’ve asked him for a quote for a custom ring because I changed my mind about the original it’s been 3 days and I haven’t had a response…I’m not sure what to do

Yes, I would find someone more reliable. Even if to say he got your email and will get the quote to you when he can.

lunamortem : I’m so sorry this is happening. At the very least they should respond that they are backed up. Yes, I would go elsewhere.

To have communication issues this early on in the process is a huge red flag. Find another jeweler to work with and save yourself a lot of headaches down the line.

Thank you bees! I really appreciate it if have made the switch to another jeweler, they charge more for the same design but they seem more reliable by a landslide!

For me I give 3 days to a home based business (its a second job ect so I give a bit of time for them to answer), but for a professional like a jeweler I say 24ish hours. To get atleast a “Sorry were so busy but we will answer your question and get back to you soon” message.
