    Ask someone at the cosmetics counter to help you choose a “blue based red”  it’s perfect for lighter skinned girls, and it will actually make your teeth look whiter!  As far as if the major lips look good on you… first thing I thought was “oh, she looks like Anne Hathaway” so uh YEAH… you can rock it!

    I wore red lipstick for the first time for my wedding too!! It took me FOREVER to find the right shade.

    I really like this color on you, but I think you could go one of two directions that would be an even better shade w/ your skin and hair.

    First a brighter red would really pop! Like this:

    Or you could go more purple and deep – check out Mrs. Lilly’s pics: http://www.weddingbee.com/2007/08/08/the-lilys-wedding-photos-getting-ready/

    I honestly don’t love that shade on you. It looks like a little too much. Maybe too orangey?  I’d suggest either a darker red or a pinky/peachy shade.

    @Anniebo:

    I just wanted to add, that one reason I don’t like that shade on you is that it distracts from your GORGEOUS face!!

    I like a red lip on you, but I think the exact shade could be refined a TINY bit.  I agree with PP to ask a makeup consultant.  I love your inspiration photo too.

    Oh, I’ll add that I think you should definitely try the model’s makeup.  You have fair skin and dark hair like her, and I think the darker lip and rosy cheeks could look really great on you!

    I personally love red on a bride. I think red looks great on you too! I would just search for a blue base red. I know Chanel has a gorgeous red that all the celebs use but it is pricy.

    I like the red! If you feel comfy with the color I say go for it. IMO red is a great color for you!

    Also dont forget to get a matching lip pencil! Red tends to “bleed” the most out of every lip color.

    Another vote for a blue-based red! My personal favourite is Ruby Woo by MAC, in case you were looking for specific suggestions 🙂

    I know that you know this, but you can definitely rock red! I know nothing about lipsticks but I’m favoriting this thread. I’m looking for some red lipstick suggestions and my skin tone is almost identical to yours. Post updates when you find the right shade and brand!
