Ok, so in your opinion, if you had my e-ring, would you get a wedding band or leave it be? Some people have said it already looks like it could be a wedding set but the truth is that it is not…so I kind of feel like I want a wedding band to symbolize the wedding. But all wants aside, what do you think asthetically? I’ve tried on a ring that curves with the set but I think it ruins the asthetic of my e-ring and it’s airy spaces. So, I’ve been thinking of getting something unique and different that would not sit flush but leave a gap, either a straight band with diamonds or a braided diamond band with equally airy-like spaces. I’ve also tossed around the idea of a band with sapphires and diamonds. My favorite color is blue, my eyes and FI’s are blue, and it could be my “something blue.” What would you do?
Straight Diamond Band

I’m having a similar issue since my ring isn’t ordinary. But I think a straight across band will look great. If your a sapphire girl then go for that. If you want to add symmetry you can get a band on each side.

Another option…would you consider moving your e-ring to your right hand and wearing a band only on the left? then they wouldn’t have to “match” quite as much.

I think you would have to go shopping and try things on to know for sure. I am not certain that any band wouldn’t take away a little bit, but it is hard for me to imagine. What about a right hand band? Diamond and Saphire?

theu can make something that will fit together like a puzzle go to the jewler and they can make a wax mold and make you a perfct matching band…

All great ideas and opinions ladies, thanks! Looking forward to going to the jeweler and trying some things on! 🙂

I voted to get a wedding band and that I would post a pic, but that’s not necessary since I think the straight diamond band you posted would be PERfect. I think it would look elegant and beautiful.

While I absolutely LOVE the braided band (I am thinking of getting something similar but with less weaving), I think it would detract from your ring. Definitely get a band – go with the straight single row of stones. I think either sapphires or diamonds would be beautiful. You might want to avoid alternating stones on the same band though because that might make it look to “busy.”

If possible, I would get 2 straight bands to wear on each side of the ering. It would make the ering stand out even more. Love the triple shank!

@khf777: Thank you! 🙂
@Mrs. Fireworks: You’re right, the braided is so lovely but would probably be too busy…maybe someday as a right hand ring! 🙂
@soyjoy222: Oooo, good idea! I like your thinking!!! I’ll have to try it! Could even start with one and get another for an anniversary. 🙂

If you want the braided band, you could do what @MissMaryMc: said and do the braided one as your band, and make your e-ring a right-hand ring.

@Mrs.LilyLunaLove: I think a sapphire straight band like the ones you have pictures would look great! But then, I’m also considering a sapphire wedding band, so I might be a little biased 😉 I think anything much more than a simple band would take away from your e-ring.
Fiance and I are broke so we’re also thinking of doing a right hand anniversary ring at some point, maybe for 5 years or something, so I love that idea too 🙂

If you want a wedding band and can afford it, you should get one.
I personally want to have the same amount of rings as hubby does, so I will be keeping my e-ring as my wedding band. Hubby will only have the “wedding band” (but he’s wearing it now, btw). But i was our decision to only have one ring- so go with what you want.
I would try on a few different rings with the e-ring. That is what I did and I know what I will want if I ever get one later in life. See what looks good with your e-ring

I think your ring is so beautiful and intricate on its own, adding more may detract from it a little. It does look like a wedding set, too. Love that first sapphire band you posted. Perhaps wear them on different hands?

The straight diamond band for sure.
