(Closed) Should I get highlights? Is this too expensive?

@hegetsme:   I have a bit of grey too.  I get partial highlights, which covers most of it but looks very natural.  My Fiance actually likes the grey, or I’d cover it completely.  LOL

I think $85.- is a great price for highlights.

@hegetsme:  I think highlights look fantastic but I found they were too much maintenance and damaged my hair too badly. I think the price you got quoted is very reasonable based on what I’ve paid, but I’m sure that is very regionally specific.

@hegetsme:  look in your area for a cosmetology school– they have WAY reduced pricing and the students do a great job, and are supervised by their instructors.

I’ve been going to a cosmetology school for the past 5 years for highlights and have yet to leave dissapointed!

@hegetsme: It depends on how much gray you have right now and how dark your natural haircolor is, but I suspect that, eventually, you’re not going to be happy with the result if you don’t also maintain your roots.
