I’ve had long hair for the majority of my life and I love how versatile long hair can be but my fiance saw a picture of me with short hair the other day and raved about how good it looked on me 🙂 I loved my short hair too but I figured I’d try to get some other opinions!

I say long, too, but just because you will have so many more options for your wedding hairstyle. If I was in your situation, I would keep it long for the wedding, then chop it off afterwards.

You can do more with long hair, I’d say keep it for the wedding and then chop it all off afterwards 🙂

I wouldn’t do anything drastic with your look before your wedding….you can always cut it off after!

I’m going to be a dissenting voice here and say go short! It’s adorable! But I suppose it depends on the style and formality of the wedding. A full ballgown might look a little jarring with a short sassy cut.
I’ve had my hair everywhere from knee length to short short short, and while it is shoulder length right now, i’m considering a major cut. I loved my short hair, and i think it would be fun and different for my wedding.

I say cut it! If you like your hair better short, then do it! There’s no rule saying it has to be long on your wedding day. Just make sure you know how you’d like to style it, and then go for it!

I’m of the mind that your hair on your wedding day shoud reflect YOU, if you would otherwise cut your hair right now (given his comment) then cut it. If you wouldn’t cut it and prefer your hair long, don’t cut it. In other words, take the wedding out of the equation. The wedding is one day, and no matter what length your hair is, you can have it done and will look amazing!
Meh, I just don’t get the “grow my hair for the wedding” thing. I get that length increases options for up-dos, but only to a certain extent.
ETA: you could do something lovely like these:

It depends on your wedding/dress/style and how you planned on wearing your hair that day. If the short cut suits it great then go for it! If you planned on another look then wait and chop it off after the wedding.
Or compromise and do an edgier medium length cut perhaps?

@lochnessy: I think the short hair is really flattering!
That being said, I don’t know if you had your heart set on a specific hairstyle for your wedding. If you have a vision of what you’ll be going for and it requires longer hair, I wouldn’t cut it off. It does look like you have some time before your wedding, though (I’m assuming the April 2014 date is correct), so depending on how long it usually takes your hair to grow, you could always chop it off now and then just let it grow back out if that’s what you initially had in mind.

Maybe a faux bob!! Pin it all under to look kinda short to your desire:)

If you really want your hair up, then don’t cut it. Otherwise I say go for it! I really like the look on you

Aw, please do the long hair. I chopped my hair really short last MLK day its hardly to my shoulders. I’m really struggling to find a look that I like. Blech and this is because I love short hair normally, but I dont like short wedding hair. Do a dramatic chop after the wedding and it will feel so good!

I used to be a short hair girl, then I had it long for a really long time. Then we got engaged and now I’m sad because I’ve been growing it out, but I don’t think it will be quite as long for the wedding as I’d like it to be. I say keep it long with a cute updo that still frames your face like the short cut. Then cut it off after the wedding 😉

Oh and by the way, the short hair is really cute so I’m sure you will look beautiful either way 😉
