Honestly, I didn’t even know ring insurance was a thing until I became a bee and saw so many ladies talking about ring insurance. My ring is moissanite & 14k white gold, so it’s not super expensive. It was just under $1000. So, should I look into getting ring insurance, or is that more meant for like the more expensive rings?
Just tell me what you guys know about ring insurance 🙂

I think ring insurance is a good investment. I personally have it and I am glad I have it. I personally would not want to have to deal with the emotionality of having something happen to the ring along with not being able to replace it. Any investment you value should be insured, and it is not expensive at all….

@nickie362: Thanks for the response! I was thinking that but I didn’t know if there was like a point at which getting the insurance would be silly, because the ring is not that expensive, ya know?

I wouldnt for your ring. If it makes you feel better you could sock away $10 a month somewhere until your ring value is reached so in case something happens to it again you could replace it easier.

@lefeymw: THAT would be a good idea! See, this is why I come to the bees with my problems! Thank you!!

@lefeymw: I agree. For rings with a $0-$1500 or even $2K value, I’d stash $ into a savings account and just keep it earmarked rather than paying annually for insurance.

Thank you guys! I never would have even thought about that.

For me, that’d be the same as just paying for a replacement later, so I may forgo the stashing.
OP, I totally get why you’re wondering about whether a moissy ring is worth getting insured – I’ll have one too and have wondered the same thing.
I wonder if there are any one-time insurance payment plans, or if they’re all constant payments forever? I have no idea how these things work yet…
