The feel of our reception is vintage, country, shabby chic. It’s in a converted barn. I’m incorporating lace, silver, galvanized steel, red blooms, chocolate tulle, and lots of LED candles. My chair covers are white (polyester blend) and they need sashes. I’ve decided on chocolate brown–would satin or organza be best? (The price difference is so small that it’s not a factor.)

I would go for the organza, keep it light. IMO, the satin can get alittle formal for a rustic affair.

I think organza would be more ethereal, and maybe casual vibe.

I think you’re both right. Organza also seems a lot easier to work with. Thank you so much!

definatly organza! It will shimmer with the candles too!

I’m just throwing in another vote for organza, it seems like it fits much better with your overall vision!

We went with organza, it was MUCH lighter in the room. If I were going for a lighter color, or if my wedding were in the fall/ winter, I would have gone with satin.
I’d do the organza, esp, if you will be using toole.
