I would at least try if the color you want is available there.  I got my dress there and had an awesome experience.

I loved my AA experience.. We picked out our dresses for bm’s, and I got my dress there, it was flawless, and fun! (We went to the Harrisburg, PA one)

@Stace126:  is there a different store you can go to?

@Stace126:  I got my dress from the store in Allentown. They were very nice but they never pick up the phone or return calls. I finally had to send a fax to get their attention. They seem to be very understaffed

@nycsa:  I can vouch that the store in Allentown at least has kind and competent people working at it. We went there in an emergency after it became clear that I wasn’t going to be able to wear my original gown and even though I didn’t end up buying anything from them, they were VERY helpful. So I guess it does substantially vary location by location.

@tonights:  Yes they are very helpful once you are there and spend a lot of time with you. They just don’t seem to pick up the phone.

I did not have a great experience at the Allentown/Whitehall, PA store. But I loved working with the Lancaster, PA store. It was worth the 2 hr drive each way just to deal with them instead.

My bridesmaid dresses were Alfred Angelo, and they looked great. We ordered them through the salon where I got my dress, though. Pricing was reasonable, and the salon handled any crap that may have existed with AA. Would this be an option for you if you don’t want to handle your local AA place?
