@blueeyedbride88: I want one soooo bad. But it’s just not doable in the space I have. You could also do it as your guest book. The photobooth company I was going to use included a guest book and one of the picture strips was sticky so it stuck in the book and a pen to write in it (silver sharpie). And a flash drive for all the pictures.

Photobooths are awesome. Almost every wedding I have been to in the last three years have had them and all the guests loved them. I plan on having a photobooth with props. Between that and the dessert bar that guests can pack treats home, I opted out of doing favors so I think it’s a great idea. =)

I had a photobooth at my wedding and it was totally worth it!! The photbooth company I chose had it where two strips of pictures printed out for one to be stuck into a guest book. They had one you could use, but I ended up making a scrap book with different pages to match our theme. I LOVED going through it with my hubby the morning after our wedding and laughing at the pictures everyone took and the notes they wrote. It was so much more fun than your traditional guest book.

We’re thinking of getting one, as long as it fits in the budget.  They’re so fun. and I think they make a great favor.

Our venue is set up so the photo booth wouldn’t be in the same room as the reception (it would be right outside the room).  We were offered one for a really low price, but declined.  I don’t want the guests leaving the room all night, you know?  We’re having a fairly small wedding with lots going on so I’d hate for people to miss out on things because they’re out playing in the photo booth.

I don’t think the photobooth distracted from the reception at all, in fact, I think it enhanced it. Gave something for those guests who didn’t want to dance something to do. Even my grandpa did it! And he’s 87!! The response I got from the guests was great, they thought it was such fun! And let me tell you, the pictures are hilarious to look at!! I just recently went to a friends house for a NYE Party (6mo post wedding!) and they still had their strip up on the fridge!  I loved that! a favor that wasn’t just thrown away!! I had the opposite worry from you, I was worried no one was going to use it! So I had my DJ make an announcement after dinner to make sure they visited the booth. There are a bunch of links here on WB that have super cute ideas about poems and such to put on the table to tell guests about the booth. I put mine on the way to the bar so they were sure to find it!! LOL

To be honest, I have no clue if people used it during the first dance/toasts. I was lost in “I just got married” world. So if they did, it certainly didn’t bother me!  But, mine came with an attendant..does the company your looking at have an attendant with the booth?  If so, you could always just tell the attendant to make sure that there were no photos taken during those moments.

Have fun!
