Deal with him like any other creeper you would at work or something,

“I have heard from one or two people you were making uncomfortable advances toweards them at the party, to curtail such things at the wedding, I am going to have to ask you to only enjoy two cocktails that evening, and if I have to, I will tell the bartenders such.”

Simple. If he doesn’t like it, oh well.

ETA: No, it was the appropriate thing to do to tell your Fiance.

It doesn’t matter if you should have told him or not, because you already did. For the record, I think it’s good you told him. Now maybe he can have a groomsman or other family member keep an eye on him and sort of diffuse or prevent situations like that at the wedding.

I’ve had to deal with alcoholics and their bullshit over the years, not saying he IS an alcoholic, but, the same pricipal applies.

@HelleCat:  +1

And I’m glad your Fiance didn’t flip in defense of his SD.

I think you did the right thing by telling him and maybe a frank discussion between your Fiance and his step dad is in order before the wedding.

If you dont want to deal with this before the wedding, let the bartenders know at the wedding that at a certain point – he is cut off. Just make his drinks virgins, or really really weak.
