Depends what is important to you! Is the symbolism behind the ceremony something that you’d like to convey in your ceremony?

I am doing a knot-tying ceremony, rather than the unity candle. It fits our theme better and also fits us better. I like the idea of a unity ceremony, but it certainly does not have to be the old-fashioned candle!!

What kind of ceremony are you having?  It is a religious or non-demoninational?  //  Darling Husband and I didn’t include it in our Catholic ceremony because we could not have 1 more thing to do that might go awry.  I’m a major klutz so I can only imagine what would happen if I knocked the candle over.  lol
