This is my wedding hair dilemma.
Last year I cut my hair a short pixie hairstyle. I absolutely loved it, I felt so pretty and confident with the hairstyle.
This year I got engaged and then the ‘you should have long hair at your wedding’ phase hit me hard. So I’ve started growing out my hair. It is a chin lenght bob now, I assume that next year at my wedding it would be just past my shoulders, which is a nice versatile lenght to have. But now I feel so run down, haggard and old with this bob hairstyle.
I am considering going back to my beloved pixie and to just have a pixie haircut at my wedding, but I am unsure.
So I’ve been going back and forth should I cut it or not?

Usually I’m an advocate of the ‘grow it out’ thing but you sound so confident with your pixie cut and that confidence will translate in the photos and on the day! Yes you get more options with longer hair but if you will feel most like yourself with short hair, and that is how you will feel most beautiful then cut it short!

I am growing mine just so I have options closer tot he time, even if my decision is to cut it short. I’d rather have the option than chop it off and regret it. But it is so irritating and takes extra effort to do stuff with. I’m seriously considering that first thing I do on the honeymoon should be get a hair cut.

Go with the style you love–the pixie! There’s no rule that you have to have long hair at your wedding!

I love pixie brides! If you feel confident in it don’t just give in to peer/societal pressure. You may regret that just as much.

I would grow it out, and if your hair styling trial just doesn’t do it for you, then you have time to cut it back to the pixie cut. Less of a chance for regrets.
P.S. You aren’t getting married for another year. Do you have your gown and veil/hairpiece yet? They would help determine the hiar length that would look best with it.
