@metalbride:  Agreed. Your original dress is much more flattering. Have you picked out accessories? Veil/headpiece? Maybe if you try it on as a complete look you will feel better.

You look gorgeous in the original dress!! The David Bridal dress doesn’t even compare.

Honestly, I think both dresses look beautiful on you. They have the same style and feel, so really, I think you could go with either dress.

However – I have read a lot of your posts about your dress regret. You are obviously not happy with the original dress, and I don’t think dozens of bees telling you that you look fantastic in it will change your mind.

I am assuming you can’t exchange or return your original dress, at this point. So, the money has been spent whether or not you wear that dress, right? It is a sunk cost.

I think you must ask yourself these questions: Do I love the DB dress? Is it how I want to look on my wedding day? Can I spend the extra $400?

If you can afford it, and if you love the DB dress then I think you should go for it and sell the original dress. At the very least, hang on to the DB dress until your original comes in so you can see how you feel in it. If you love the original, great. If you don’t, then you have this one. And no guilt! Your bridesmaid and family will understand.

(P.S. I hope none of this came off harshly. I didn’t mean it so. I think whichever one you choose, you will look gorgeous.)

I have to say that I love the original dress on you.  As others have said, it hugs your body is all the right places.

@LilacViolet:  +1

Dresses from DB are final sale. If you can convince them, they will do an exchange or store credit.

I don’t like the way the DB dress sits on your hips….it seems to jut out so I’d also stick with your original dress.

When did you buy the DB dress?  I thought I was going nuts and it didn’t make any sense, so a couple months ago with my issue, I researched tons of reviews online, and they all confirmed they had the same issue.  I didn’t see any mention of an RMA number.

Did you get it from in the store?  Or did you order it online and it was shipped?

Let me know!  I’d love to talk to my DB location and confront them, if you pull it off.

I can see how the two dresses are similar, but it is the details that make the Mon Cheri dress much nicer. The David’s Bridal dress looks too short and having the belt in the center is awkward, and the way that the skirt is attached isn’t as flattering.

I love your original dress, it has pretty details! The belt looks akward on the DB dress.

The original dress is SO much better, in my opinion – you look incredible in it!  I feel like a hoop skirt will assuage all your worries about it too.  Since you can return the DB dress, I definitely would 🙂

@csteen85:  Ahh ok, there we go then haha.  I got mine from the store, not online.  So it’s good that a return policy applies to your situation!  Also because you look great in the original. :]
