So I was visiting a boutique after lunch, and they were having a shoe sale. I found these Chloe boots. Normally they retail for $995 but they were on sale for $99! However, these shoes aren’t usually the type of boots that I wear. Do you guys think that the severe discount is a good enough reason to try something different or should I return it and use it towards another pair that’s more my style?

I don’t know how they look on your foot but based on those photos I vote KEEP. However, only you know if you would ever wear them. If you just know they’re going to collect dust in the back of your closet because they’re just not your style, then it’s a waste of $100, return them.

Ooh I like! Keep! But I also second the above poster.. Only if you’ll actually wear them. Even the best deal isn’t worth it if you don’t use the product!

I remember someone telling me that you should think of a sale purchase not as “I saved $896!” but as “I spent $99”. Looking at the original price of something can make you purchase because it’s a great deal, not because you actually love it, in which case you might regret it later. If the boots were not on sale and they were originally priced at $99, would you have bought them?

Not if you’re not going to wear them.

Thanks ladies, great advice! I think I’m going to dig through my closet in the next couple of days and see how it looks with my clothes.

I’m not a fan at all of the chunky heel and proportions BUT if you like them or think you have something perfect to wear with them then I vote yes.

For that price, keep them.
