This was literally one of those quick pics from when I went for my 2nd alterations today. when i originally went i only had a strapless bra and in this picture didnt like how it looked. They had me try a corset bra which really helped alot i felt my stomach didnt look so chunky as it did in the pic and also gave me more of a lift so there wasnt the extra room in the top. I was wondering with this info in mind should i wear as is or get a watermelon color sash to go with it. personally im not a huge fan of the sash but then again im hoping theres not much of a flub in my wedding photos lol

I’m not a fan of sashes, especially colored sashes. It may draw attention to the area you’re not fond of, instead of masking it.
I think you’re dress is fine. And when in doubt, try some Spanx, regardless if you have other undergarments meant to smush and conceal.

I think I’d like to see a sash but not necessarily a watermelon coloured one.
Pretty dress btw 🙂

@BetterSherm: yeah i wasnt a huge fan either of them. when i bought my dress they had me try it with one and i was eiffy about it i was more leaning towards just how the dress is its self. thank you for the idea of the spanx though ill def keep that in mind!

@ticatica: Thank you! I was mentioning the color watermelon as my bridesmaids dresses are that color so i figured it would go with instead of doing something completely off. When looking at the reviews on davids website a majority had the sashes with there dress and i didnt really want to be just like everyone else 🙂

I personally don’t care for sashes, but maybe a white one wiith beading? The dress looks great by itself though.

I like the idea of a sash but maybe just with bling no color!

I love sashes- a sash placed at the most narrow part of your waist can be very slimming because it draws the eye inward to your narrowest point.
That being said, I’d go with a thinner/medium width sash, and not a very wide one.
It also looks like you’ve got lots of gorgeous lace detail, and I dunno if I’d take away from that with watermelon. I personally would go for more of a champagne or oatmeal color to contrast subtly with the dress.

I think you should definitely get a sash. With that being said, don’t get one in a bright color. Instead, go for an ivory/white satin sash with beading/crystals.

Here’s a pretty one from Etsy: Sash

Wow I love that last sash from Etsy. I think sashes are great for defining the waist.

I think a sash such as the one Mrs. Fireworks posted would look amazing with the dress!

@Mrs. Fireworks: I second this.
I think colored sashes draw too much attention to your waist. A simple crystal sash will help sinch your waist though.
Beautiful dress, though

I second the idea of a white crystal sash! Your dress is beautiful BTW!
